WMBA Bios

Jen Hale is a nonprofit leader and passionate mountain biker. She loves riding flowy singletrack, exploring new trails, and any path where grit meets smiles. When she’s not building systems that connect families to resources across Nebraska, you’ll find her coaching youth riders of all ages, running social media accounts, organizing group rides, or chasing dirt and gravel with friends. A mom of three and believer in snacks and sarcasm, Jen rides for confidence, connection, and the kind of joy that only comes from dusty legs and shared miles.

Sara Wiese-Johnson is a Special Education teacher, trail enthusiast, and mom of two girls. She enjoys exploring Nebraska’s gravel roads and singletrack with her family and friends, and with a husband who actively mountain bikes and races, adventure is always on the calendar. Their favorite trips involve hitting the road to discover new riding destinations. She loves encouraging other women to try mountain biking and experience the joy of the trail. For Sara, every ride is a chance to make memories, push limits, and enjoy the outdoors.

Hannah Augustine has over a decade of human resources experience and finds joy in time spent on her bike with her husband and two boys. Her biking love started with casually commuting and evolved to gravel racing and MTB riding. Some of her favorite activities are coaching DEVO to youth in the Lincoln, NE area and helping promote weekly ladies gravel rides. The never-ending goal is to encourage and cheer more ladies into the cycling scene.

Cara Stirts is a lawyer, an aspiring ultrarunner, and a lover of all things outdoors. She does not have a cycling background, but was immediately obsessed with mountain biking after her first ride in 2021. She is grateful for the community and camaraderie she found through mountain biking, and is thankful for the opportunity to help other women experience the same. Cara also loves live music, trail running, playing her guitar, solo travel adventures, and spending time with friends and family.

Melissa Antinoro is an avid trail user, nature lover, and outdoor enthusiast who feels most at home outside. She has explored trails in multiple states on both foot and bike, always chasing the steady rhythm of a climb and the exhilarating zen and flow of cross-country terrain. Trails are about connection as much as recreation. She loves meeting new people at trailheads, encouraging others to get outside, and discovering what waits around the next bend. On staff with THOR, married with 3 kids.

Abbey O’Brien was introduced to mountain biking through Nebraska’s first-ever DEVO program in 2009. The community she found there shaped her path forward. Now a nonprofit leader and youth coach, she focuses on expanding access to mountain biking and other adventure-based experiences for youth throughout Omaha. She spends her free time playing outside, making music, and working with textiles and wood.

Allison Burton is a mechanical engineer, mom to two teenagers, professional MTB skills coach, and lover of outdoor adventure. Her passion for mountain biking started in her early 20s in western PA, where she learned to love rocks, roots, and twisty hand-cut singletrack.

Jenn Beebe believes the out-of-doors is the “bee’s knees”. Her faves are mountain biking, dry humor, backpacking, swimming, and trail running. She values owning a catering business and especially enjoys adventures in the food truck. Paul is Jenn’s partner in crime and life.

Sarah Dunbar has been shredding bikes since she could walk—growing up with a father who owned a bike shop gave her a lifelong love for the trails. She’s passionate about introducing new riders to the joys of mountain biking and sharing the trail experience with others. By day, she dives into numbers as a finance professional. Loves to bake! Sarah is also a devoted wife and mother of two girls, balancing family life with her love for the outdoors.
